JMS Consultants delivers OPITO-accredited and City & Guilds assured open training courses at our facility in Grimsby, serving delegates from across the petrochemical, power generation, utilities, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas sectors.
Open courses are available in Authorised Gas Testing (AGT), Hazardous Area Classification and Safe Area Technology (HAACSAT), and Nitrogen Purging. Courses are delivered by specialist trainers with over 30 years of operational experience in gas safety, confined space entry, and atmospheric monitoring.
Delegates from any industry sector are welcome provided they meet the minimum pre-requisite criteria for their chosen course. The same rigorous curricula used in our on-site programmes are applied across all open courses, with practical equipment experience, written assessment, and JMS certification on successful completion.

These courses are open to delegates from all industry sectors who meet minimum pre-requisite physical health criteria. The same curricula are used as the On-Site training programs, however hazard considerations discussed through the course delivery is often expanded to encompass the experience and industries of the Open Course delegate group

Practical operating experience is given on a limited array of most commonly available and used equipment during course time and basic equipment use assessed where suitable training site facilities are available. Where appropriate, courses have written examinations of key learning points. Successfully completed training is supported by JMS certification and relevant register accreditation
